About the Author
Ira Porterfield holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The Ohio State University. He has been writing poetry since the 1960s but only began sharing his work with the world in 1994. Porterfield has published 38 poetry books, 19 travel poetry books, a collection of children's stories titled "Granddad's Stories to Tell," biographies, spiritual books, and heartfelt cards.

Porterfield was deeply inspired by the beauty and simplicity of nature while growing up in Ohio, and his patriotism and Christian faith guided both his life and writing. He hopes to bring joy, reflection, hope, and inspiration to as many people as possible through his work.
