Gary Shoats is based in Sydney and loves collecting coins. He has been collecting all sorts of coins since his childhood. It all started from a money bank that his mom bought for him to save his pocket-money. A saving turned into a hobby and a big collection of coins some are given by relative, some he had exchanged with other coin collectors and some he bought when traveling to different countries. His father and his uncle were also fond of collecting coins but did not take it to that level as Gary did. His collection also has coins that were collected by his father and uncle.

He spends a lot of time looking for rare Roman coins. He is also a member of the coin club whose members are coin collectors with some finest pieces. Some of his coins of his collection are old that he bought from exhibitions and antique shops. His collection is expanding ever since he started this hobby. Gary also has some rare coins of a certain period of history that has nature elements on them.

Gary Shoats dreams to have the largest coin collection and has spent large amounts of money to buy some important and rare pieces for his collection. He has a nice leather folder where he keeps his coins. His collection has all sort of coins be it foreign coins, coins of his country, ancient coins or coins with errors. What fascinates him most is the history behind the coins intriguing to read and go through. His collection is kept in an organized way which makes him easier to know which coins he needs to add and which coins are extra and can be traded with others.

There are no particular favorites says Gary as he is fond of all his coins. Someday he wishes to own the Roman coin showing Pompeius Magnus. For him coin collecting is an interesting task and has never been a source of income as he feels they are his prized possession.
