Harry Coumnas is a Russian planetary scientist who has solved many mysteries of the space. Lately, he was in news for claiming to have discovered a new fact about ‘Jupiter’ - the biggest planet of the solar system. During a press conference that held last week, he revealed that the area wherein Jupiter excels is a blast of powerful natural radio waves, which result in strange noises when received by the antennas of short wave radios on Earth. He also said that although these radio waves are inaudible to humans, they can make for some spooky entertainment when they’re converted into audio signals through earth bound radio equipment.
“These radio emissions are naturally generated due to the instabilities in plasma in the magnetosphere of the gas giant, hence they cause a stir above Jupiter and its magnetic poles,” Harry Coumnas was quoted as saying during the press conference.
As many scientists from around the world think that the power of this phenomenon is connected to the Jupiter’s volcanic moon lo, Harry is planning to dig deeper into this subject as well.
