The 1967 memo provided instructions on how to discredit "conspiracy theorists" who doubted that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. This memo outlined a strategy to smear critics by portraying them as financially motivated, politically skewed, communist sympathizers or hasty, inaccurate, or driven by ego.
