July 18, 2014 – Flournoy Information Security Solutions, LLC (FISS) was recently awarded a GSA schedule allowing the company to work directly with the federal government. The company worked with Contract Award Services (CAS) to obtain the award and for CAS it was the 1600th GSA award they have helped firms obtain. Craig Flournoy, founder of FISS announced the GSA Award and said the following, “We are excited to be on the GSA Schedule and are grateful to CAS for their tireless work on our behalf.”

The GSA Schedule will allow FISS to compete for more federal work. In order to receive the GSA Schedule Award the company had to pass a rigorous examination by the federal government that included a review of their capabilities, past performance and commercial sales practices. Having a GSA Schedule allows firms like FISS to bypass many of the procedures the federal government has in place for procurement. It also allows companies to more directly compete for these jobs. The GSA schedule award is valid for a period of five years with the option of three additional five year extensions.
