[Denver, February 17, 2016] – For people dealing with chronic and acute physical conditions arising from sports and other injuries, the Denver Integrated Spine Center uses the Active Release Technique. This non-invasive method offers quick pain relief and is also ideal for post-surgery therapy.
Active Release for Quick Relief
Clinical studies indicate that soft tissues like blood vessels, nerves and muscles develop adhesions after cumulative injuries, such as Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI), Cumulative Trauma Disorder (CTD) and Repetitive Motion Injury (RMI). These injuries change the range of motion of joints and muscles, resulting in chronic weakness, numbness, tingling and pain. The Denver Integrated Spine Center uses Active Release Technique (ART) to break down adhesions and scar tissue that form between or within these soft tissues. This leaves muscles and nerves free to function properly and pain-free.
A provider with credentials is the only person allowed to perform ART. Dr. Eldridge holds the longest continuous Active Release Technique certification in Colorado, Ironman Provider Network, which includes:
1. Masters Certified
2. Lower and Upper Extremity
3. Spine
4. Biomechanics
5. Nerve Entrapment
Once the patient is diagnosed, Dr. Eldridge will apply pressure to certain parts of the patient’s body, based on over 500 ART protocols. The hands-on contact helps release and separate the scar tissue and adhesions that resulted from cumulative stress and injuries.
Active Release Technique requires patients to have an active role in their recovery, strengthening and resting the treated areas. Treatment length depends on the physical condition of a patient, but on average, it takes six to 12 visits.
ART provides benefits that:
1. Offers pain relief more effectively and quickly than other methods, without the discomfort and expense of surgery
2. Restores the proper muscle function of the body, allowing it to do what it can usually do without pain and difficulty
3. Speeds up the post-surgery healing process by breaking up scar tissue and re-aligning it with healthy tissue, reducing recovery time threefold while improving range of motion and reducing aches and pains
The Denver Integrated Spine Center has the experience and expertise to treat aches and pains in an effective and proven way.
