Lea Banchereau proudly presents Botanic, the photographer’s first international solo show at Soho Photo Gallery.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, April 13th 2023 from 6pm to 8pm.

The show will be on view at Soho Photo Gallery from April 5th to April 30th.

The focal point of ‘Botanic’ are the details and shapes of different plants and flowers. The works of this series focus on the beautiful details of oriental lilies and other flowers, while also emphasizing the unique imperfections of film photography. The 15 images are so tightly cropped that they evoke the sense of a puzzle that can never fully be solved and leaves the viewer with the ambiguity of never seeing the full picture.

Lea Banchereau is a French photographer and videographer based in NYC. She focuses on 35mm and medium format film photography.
