The rich history of the land has been preserved through restoration of historic buildings, and careful growth of forests, gardens, and fruit-bearing trees planted over hundreds of years before.

At Lightwater we have profound respect for the land and sea where we dwell—and for the people and animals that share it with us. On this working organic farm, “eco” is a way of life. Local artisans built Lightwater using energy-efficient and sustainably sourced materials, and the same care shows in everything we do, from managing water to benefit the community to offering island-crafted beds, breakfasts and bath products.
