Celebrating 36 exciting years, the 2014 Destin Seafood Festival pays tribute to the history of the Destin Harbor and the fishing community by bringing guests a memorable weekend filled with live music, art, entertaining music, and, of course, delicious seafood.

This year’s Destin Seafood Festival will be held October 3-5. Festival times are Friday 4-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Located at the Destin Harbor and Harbor Boardwalk, the Destin Seafood Festival is open to the public. Admission is completely free, but donations will be accepted at the festival’s soda and beer tents located throughout the event.

The Destin Seafood Festival was founded in 1978 by the Destin Charter Boat Association’s Women's Auxiliary. The event was originally intended to act as both a fundraiser for the local fishing fleet, but also as a way to attract visitors to the Emerald Coast.

Today, the Destin Seafood Festival is known as one of the most popular fall events in Destin, Fla.
