Their Majesties King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain have formally thanked Count Miklós Cseszneky, a Hungarian-Croatian nobleman, for the critical assistance provided by the Cseszneky family and the Order of Marcus Aurelius to those affected by the recent flash floods in Spain’s Valencian Community.
In response to the catastrophic flooding that struck various regions, the Order of Marcus Aurelius, established by Count Cseszneky in 2022, quickly mobilized to offer essential support. This charitable organization, rooted in Stoic philosophy and virtuous living, is currently aiding four families severely impacted by the disaster.
These families are receiving comprehensive help, including temporary housing, essential household items, clothing, appliances, and interest-free loans to facilitate their recovery and rebuilding efforts.
Additionally, Count and Countess Cseszneky have generously contributed to the Caritas flood relief program in the Valencian Community, further extending their support to those in need.
The Cseszneky family's connection to the region dates back to the 13th century, when Jakab Cseszneky participated in the reconquest of Valencia, while Count Miklós Cseszneky pursued postgraduate studies in the city.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Count Miklós Cseszneky and his family for their compassionate efforts during this challenging time.
