Nowadays, charitable organizations play a considerable role in the social life. They organize different social events, raise funds to help needy and sick people. This paper discusses the possible difficulties that they can expect when working together to make important decisions.
If I were a member of a charitable organization and had to coordinate the event, I will behave extremely responsibly, because it is an opportunity to help other people. Firstly, I will decide what event we should organize. It must be very interesting because our goal is raising funds to assist needy people; thus, we have to involve as much sponsors as possible. We can appeal to the authorities or other influential people to achieve maximum results. We must work efficiently to make these decisions. Our goal will keep us together. We will organize different meetings where we will be able to discuss our objectives, and each of us will be able to tell his/her suggestion. We will create written plans and projects. It is extremely necessary to be unselfish and generous because people who think only of themselves cannot work in the charitable organizations. We have to focus on the needs of others, and then we will be able to work together to coordinate the event and raise enough funds.
Secondly, I will define roles and responsibilities. Our social event will need people for different objectives, so I have to use my methods to define roles and liabilities. My first method is to give my team members an opportunity to decide what they want to do themselves, but this way is not effective because people usually begin to argue. Another method is to define roles and liabilities according to personal qualities. This way has its defects, but it is more effective and helps people to work together and be in charge of their objectives. Obviously, I can expect some difficulties like arguing about roles, liabilities, events, and even our organization’s name, but we can solve these problems. Another difficulty is the reluctance of people to help us. However, in my opinion, there are so many kind and unselfish people; we just have to find them.
In conclusion, we have to work responsibly and be disinterested to make decisions together. We can organize different meetings and create written plans and projects. There are two methods to define roles and liabilities. There are some difficulties that expect us: arguing and reluctance to help, but our charitable organization can solve them.
