OmniIndex's Dropblock.Online launches a new Web3 storage solution that enhances data security by utilizing fully homomorphic encryption to allow for data processing without decryption.

San Jose, California – April 1, 2025 – OmniIndex has introduced Dropblock.Online, a new Web3 file storage platform that integrates blockchain technology with fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) to enhance data security. This platform is designed to address the increasing vulnerabilities associated with traditional cloud storage, particularly concerning data breaches and ransomware.

Dropblock.Online's core innovation lies in its utilization of FHE, which allows data to be processed and analyzed without requiring decryption. This capability is facilitated by "Boudica," an AI system that operates directly on encrypted data, enabling secure data analysis and search. The platform also employs a decentralized, immutable ledger for data storage, granting users increased control over their encryption keys. Initially, Dropblock.Online offers 2GB of free storage to users.

The platform's technological foundation is derived from OmniIndex's existing Web3 Data Platform, PostgresBC. OmniIndex has indicated that this underlying technology has undergone testing in sectors such as healthcare and education, demonstrating its ability to handle substantial volumes of encrypted log files. Looking ahead, OmniIndex plans to release an enterprise version of Dropblock File Store in 2025, with intended integrations for mainstream productivity suites, including Google Workspace. This strategic move aims to promote the broader adoption of Web3 security practices.

“The increasing sophistication of cyber threats necessitates a paradigm shift in data security,” stated Simon Bain, CEO of OmniIndex. “By combining blockchain’s inherent security with FHE, we’re providing a solution that significantly reduces the vulnerability of sensitive data because that data is never decrypted and is kept secure in the user’s own blockchain on the cloud with no third-party access.”
