South Fork, Colorado, 8/14/2013 — Despite the effects of one of the largest fires in Colorado's history, South Fork based Holiday RV South has bested their all-time annual sales record for the always popular Keystone Fuzion toy hauler. Owner Jeremiah Webb expressed his surprise at the brisk sales of the iconic toy hauler. "Given that just a month ago the town of South Fork was nearly overrun by fire, I’ve been more than pleasantly surprised by the great sales we've had with the Fuzion line. There is no doubt that our location in the high mountains helps, but I’m certain this unexpected uptick in sales is largely due to the popularity of the Fuzion and an extremely aggressive pricing policy we instituted post fire.”
Surrounded by more than three million acres of Forest Service property, Holiday RV South is annually ranked among the leading sellers of toy haulers in the United States. However, the devastating West Fork Complex Fire caused the mandatory evacuation of the town of South Fork and forced the closure of Holiday RV South for an entire week. Mr. Webb went on to say, “We were very concerned that the fire was really going to hurt our chances of having a decent summer season. The remarkable surge in Fuzion sales has literally made our year. We couldn’t be happier about the way this has turned out.”
The West Fork Complex Fire is not yet fully contained and is expected to continue to burn into the fall. However, tourist traffic in South Fork is nearly back to pre-fire levels. “The fire took a toll on many of the businesses here in South Fork, but a sense of optimism has returned. We’re all looking forward to an even better season next summer.”
