Customers Continue to Make the Switch to QuickBooks Online

Intuit giant continues to pull in customers from small accounting competitors; with Sage 50's new online system failing to keep or attract new users.

Brandon, CA; Newly launched in August 2014, Saga 50 has begun offering a cloud version of their already popular accounting software. Surprisingly enough, the product release hasn't stopped customers from leaving for QuickBooks' new online platform.

QuickBooks has been the leading financial management solution for small businesses, with over 2 million customers actively using the online accounting system. Their service claims to simplify the business of life for small businesses, consumers and accounting professionals.

Since QuickBooks Online's launch in the fourth quarter of last year, the company's total revenue has been a staggering $714 million, up 13% overall from last year.

"Sage 50 is just too late to the game with their online system," says John Rocha, CIO of QuickBooksRepairPro.com. "While QuickBooks Online is in its third iteration and has implemented new feature after feature, Sage 50's online version offering is still new and unrefined. The Sage interface is not nearly as intuitive or responsive as the QuickBooks interface. Most importantly, the company currently does not offer its users a simple solution to transfer their current accounting system to Sage One. As a result, migrations from Sage 50 to QuickBooks are in full flow."
