Canada – 22-Apr-2022: According to a recent Red Cross study, approximately 40% of Canadians have been in an emergency scenario when they have had to provide first aid; however, just 18% are currently trained. The urgent treatment given to an injured or sick individual to keep the sufferer alive is known as first aid. This prompt treatment also ensures that they prevent further disability and that the impacts of their accident are minimized. Every employer in Canada is required to give a specific degree of first aid training to its employees.

A spokesman for the organization stated, " We focus on reducing the primary causes of preventable injury or death as a mission-driven company so that people can live their lives safely. We concentrate our efforts on areas where we can have the most impact: the workplace, the highway or street, and swimming pools or beach."
Metro Safety offers level 2 and level 3 part-time occupational first-aid training for employees or students who want to take the initiative in saving human lives. It is important to have first-aid and emergency training, especially in occupations where accidents are prevalent. Basic first aid knowledge is sufficient to offer first aid in most crises.

Talking about putting safety first, a spokesman further added, "A first aid training not only teaches learners how to care for others but also how to look after themselves and prioritize safety. This implies that individuals can stay secure while also putting themselves in a better position to assist others. While having occupational first aid training in hand, both the employee and the business benefit from lowering the risk of injury and medical emergencies."
