Different techniques of application of hair extensions

Hair extensions are basically artificial hair which is added to the original hair in order to give it volume or a different style.

 
The use of hair extensions is a very common fashion statement. Because after all who does not want that amazing perfect hair. There numerous techniques of adding hair extensions and this is what this article is all about.
Hair extensions clip in- this is the most temporary method in which clips are attached to the hair wefts which are then attached to the hair. This is a simple easy and cheap process and hence can be mostly availed by anyone who wishes to go for hair extensions.
Bonding- this is a less temporary process and can last for days. In this process hair wefts of required lengths are attached to original sections of hair using special glue. When professionally done using right material, no harm as such is caused to the hair.
Fusion- this process provides the most natural and versatile look after the weave is done. In this process, a hot glue or keratin adhesive is used to infuse hair extensions of required lengths to each hair strands. This gives an authentic look to the hair which barely looks artificial.
Infusion- this is a reusable technique of hair extension and the most reliable. This is because no heat or glue is used in bonding the extensions to the hair strands.
Netting- this is another more permanent technique in which a thin net is used as the base on which hair extensions are woven by the professionals. This whole process requires around 2 to 4 hours completing.
Micro loops- this is a technique in which small aluminum rings covered with silicone having hair extensions attached to it, are placed in small sections of hair roots. This is also a more permanent technique and very time consuming process.
Lace fronts- in this method a nylon mesh cap is used as a base on which hair extensions are attached which can be clipped to the original hair. This is a very temporary process
