Ingrowing capillaries protect hair follicles under the scalp for up to five days following surgery. The follicles then undergo the telogen resting period; PRP typically lasts between 8 and 10 weeks. After A Hair Transplant, What Should You Expect?

It would be best if you didn't do anything that could damage the follicles for at least 14 days after getting a hair transplant, including lifting heavy objects, power showering, going to the gym, or stroking your hair. It would be best if you didn't drink alcohol or scratch your head in the week following the operation. After getting a hair transplant, you might find it more relaxing to sleep propped up than sleeping flat.

For the following two weeks, avoid activities that will make you sweat, and don't put any products on your head. Beginning on day five after your hair transplant, your surgeon will instruct you on how often to wash your hair, and we will give you shampoo. The redness or inflammation should go down in the next few nights to a week. At the end of the two weeks, you can return to your regular routine as you patiently await the new hair to develop.
