The Statue of Unity is 182 meters which means 597 feet tall. With such taller height, this statue is regarded as the world's tallest and among the largest monuments. The Statue of Unity is approximately 29 meters taller than China's Spring Temple Buddha statue. Not only this, but this statue is also taller than the very famous Statue of Liberty.

Face of the statue: The statue depicts Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first home minister and deputy prime minister of independent India.
Construction: The project of making this statue was announced in the year 2010 by Narendra Modi. The construction began on 31st October 2013 and took almost 5 years. It cost approximately Rupees 3000 crores to make the statue, and almost 300 engineers of Larsen & Toubro, along with 3000 workers, were involved in the construction process.
Inauguration: On 30th October 2018, the tallest statue in the world was made, and on 31st October 2018, it was inaugurated by the Prime minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi. This date was specifically chosen for the inauguration because it was the 143rd birth anniversary of Vallabhbhai Patel.
Location: The statue is situated in the Kevadiya colony on the Narmada River. The statue of Unity faces the Sardar Sarobar Dam which is situated in the southeast of Vadodara city and is approximately 100 kilometers away.
Materials used: In the making of the statue of Unity, almost 129 tons of iron, 12,000 bronze panels, 70000 tons of cement and 25000 tons of steel were used.
Interior: The statue is divided into five zones, and the public can access only three. You can find the museum, memorial garden, 3-star lodging and a food court in the statue.
Visitors: Several tourists around the world visit the Statue of Unity, and in the year 2018-19, approximately 2.8 million people visited the tallest statue in the world.
Tickets: There are three tickets available for the public: the basic entry ticket, the ticket to view the gallery, and the other ticket available for the public is the Express entry ticket. The ticket cost ranges from INR 90 to INR 1030 depending on your age group and the kind of visit you choose.
Timings: You can visit the tallest statue in the world between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and explore the history of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's life, along with a beautiful experience in the statue. The Statue of Unity is closed on Monday, so if you are willing to visit, plan it between Tuesday and Sunday.
Guide to reach the statue: To reach the statue, you need to be in the nearby areas. You can come to Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat or Rajpipla and from there you can travel by bus to Kevadiya. Once you reach Kevadiya, you can take any transport available, like a cab or an auto, to reach the statue of Unity.
