Miami, Florida -June 24, 2022 – Conconcreto a full-service company with over 60 years of international expertise in all sectors of the construction and development industry supports the first in-person WorldCity Trade Connections – Import Export Event, in three years, featuring Ralph Cutié, Miami International Airport Director; Jonathan Daniels, Port Everglades Director; and Andy Heck, PortMiami Deputy Director.

WorldCity President and Founder, Ken Roberts, shared Miami trade data through April 2022 for MIA, PortMiami, and Port Everglades. He highlighted the trade through MIA of $24.34 billion, an increase of 21.5 percent. PortMiami’s trade totaled $10.47 billion, a 21.34 percent increase and its first time above $10 billion through April while Port Everglades totaled $9.04 billion, an increase of 25.31 percent. It was the first time Port Everglades topped $9 billion through April. Roberts also pointed out that Turkey is the largest importer of cement to Port Everglades, a fact that benefits Trade Connections sponsor, Conconcreto.

Conconcreto has built 500 miles of roads and viaducts, 112 miles of tunnels, 19,059,225 square feet of shopping centers, 43,386,535 square feet of housing, and 12,835,285 square feet of hotels and offices and now is bringing its business model to the US to expand its operations and offer its innovative, state-of-the art processes and tools.

Established in Colombia in 1961, Conconcreto is celebrating 60 years in business leading the change and reinventing itself to move forward and progressively to create value throughout the life cycle of projects. In 1993 Conconcreto International was created and the investment arm followed in 2003. Later, in 2010, the Company did its initial public offering (IPO) in the Colombian Stock Exchange. With its arrival, ten years later in the US market, it strengthened its international presence.

Today, Conconcreto has design and construction projects throughout Florida including Miami-Dade and Orlando with a robust volume of clients and prospective projects that consolidate the backlog of $228 million in developments and over 3,000,000 square feet that will be built in the next three years, which include multi-family, housing, industrial, commercial, institutional, hotels, and infrastructure.
The Conconcreto US team has detailed and technical knowledge of integration and offer architecture, engineering, design, construction, general contractor, and consulting services. Projects are managed under the BIM (Building Information Model) 360 methodology, a process of digitizing the functional characteristics of physical objects.

“This event is a great forum to develop business opportunities and partner with local specialized allies to bring value, quality of life, and inspire a sustainable future in our communities,” said Daniel Cremades, Conconcreto managing director.

“Trade Connections events are intended to give the local community the latest, most insightful trade data -- trade intelligence they simply can’t get elsewhere. And it is thanks to our sponsors that they get this information,” said Roberts. “These events, provide attendees with updates on top trade partners, top exports, and top imports, comparing the current time period to the same period in the previous year, and with context added by comparing the specific community’s trade to the national average,” he added.
