This summer, creativity makes a splash at Busy Bee Fashion and Art Studio—where sewing machines hum, imagination takes the lead, and kids walk away with skills they’ll actually use.
From July 8–10, 2025, Busy Bee’s BIOME Summer Camps kick off with Ocean Week, a three-day adventure into the deep blue filled with thread, fabric, and fearless self-expression.
In the Sewing Camp (ages 8+), kids will stitch their own sea life—think fish, starfish, even sharks! No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and watch what your hands can create. Runs 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Tuesday through Thursday.
In the afternoon, Fashion Camp (ages 10+) transforms kids into young designers as they explore ocean-themed fashion and create a real piece of wearable art. Camp runs 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and yes—they’ll be designing, sewing, and styling their very own ocean-inspired look.
Led by founder Melissa Quijano, an educator and designer with over 5 years of experience, these camps are more than just craft time—they’re confidence-building, creativity-igniting, and community-centered. Melissa’s mission is simple: teach kids to make something they’re proud of, in a space where every child belongs.
Spots are limited and fill fast—especially for kids doing both morning and afternoon sessions (yes, there’s a lunch break in between, and snacks are available!). Whether it’s your child’s first time threading a needle or they’re already planning their own fashion line, Busy Bee is the place to be.
