Take Frequent Walking Breaks

You’ve probably been hearing in the news how bad sitting is for one’s health.

Recent studies are showing that even just a 5 minute walk every hour can reduce the negative affects of sitting.
While one long workout can’t ameliorate the negative affects of sitting for 6 hours straight, taking breaks to move around helps blood flow better in the lower extremities.
This month, focus on getting up and moving around for just 5 minutes every hour. This will help your blood flow better and will also give your eyes a break from all that screen time too. Get the whole office in on the action, or make it a game with your family to get up and move more.
