New Short Film Targets Mental Health and Community Healing

b dynamic! Productions and OGD Creative, LLC, in partnership with The Outstanding Youth Awards Initiative, proudly announces the local premiere of the award-winning documentary short Grounded: Creating Space for Black Peace.

 
"Grounded: Creating Space for Black Peace", an award-winning short by b dynamic! Productions, OGD Creative, and The Outstanding Youth Awards Initiative, premieres May 28 at Camelot Cinemas. This expressive documentary explores mental health, healing, and the need for emotional safety in schools. The film has earned honors from multiple festivals, with more pending. Executive Producer Brittney Brackett says, “It’s a mirror and a message,” highlighting the importance of support systems for youth. The event includes a 6:30 PM resource fair, 7:15 PM screening, and a post-film panel. Guests will preview the Grounded HealthWork Conversation Deck and "A Great Big Love", a children's book by Brooks Brackett with a foreword by Simon T. Bailey. Proceeds support The Outstanding Youth Awards youth programs. Licensing is now open for churches, schools, and organizations in time for Mental Health Awareness Month in May.
