LAS VEGAS - The data-driven management team at Ori’Zaba’s Scratch Mexican Grill has been testing various delivery options to get food and beverages from their fast-casual locations to their customers. Customer experience, speed, quality, promotional opportunities, revenue generated, profitability and many other factors have been carefully evaluated. With an influx of new customers, third-party delivery now accounts for more than a quarter of the revenue at the corporate location.

The company has tested many different promotions, all with one goal in mind: to get new customers to try Ori’Zaba’s and keep those customers ordering again and again. Discount offers are targeted to new customers with a high value deal on bowls, tacos and burritos. Return customers are provided options on appetizers, drinks, desserts and some core menu items.

Franchise Business Partner Mayela Masoli has taken the lead on delivery research and development for the fast-growing franchise. She has carefully tested and evaluated various third-party delivery companies as well as different promotions.

Masoli explained, “Not all third-party delivery companies are the same – the fees and promotions are different. Thus, the success rate and profitability also vary. By taking a data-driven strategic approach at our corporate location, we were able to see what works best and then share that knowledge with our franchisees to boost their success.”
