Indie Electro Pop-Rock Power Ballad Pays Emotional Tribute to the Complex and Beautiful World of AS.

UK-based alt-pop rock artist SAER and co-writer Paul Griffin are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of SAER’s latest single, ‘Spectrum’, scheduled for Friday, 29th March 2024. This collaboration is deeply rooted in personal experiences with the Autism Spectrum, offering a poignant expression of empathy and a celebration of neurodiversity.

‘Spectrum’ is profoundly influenced by Griffin's direct experiences as a father coming to terms with his daughter's diagnosis of Autism. SAER instinctively supported his close friend and creative cohort through this life changing moment, witnessing the highs and lows a family will experience learning to live with Autism. Their deep conversations, searching for solutions and understanding naturally inspired the writing of Spectrum, something that began as a personal emotional outpouring, evolving into an inclusive song that feels anthemic and meaningful for everyone.

“There's a great pride knowing the song could help people connect and understand a little more about Autism. As a father to an autistic child I have felt the challenges at close hand and I can begin to see why Autistic people can feel lost in a neurotypical world.“ - Griffin.

Blending influences from CHVRCHES, Muse, Imagine Dragons, and MGMT, ‘Spectrum’ is an emotional and empowering Indie Electro Pop-Rock ballad that marries dynamic synth riffs with driving guitar elements. SAER's heartfelt vocals and crafted melodies create a compelling sound that pays homage to the intricate experiences and vibrant lives within the AS community.

The music video for ‘Spectrum’, also directed by visual artist Paul Griffin, uses innovative AI and stable diffusion technology to create a visually stunning representation of neurodiversity. The video transforms an original performance of SAER singing to camera into a multitude of diverse individuals, symbolising the shared humanity across the spectrum. Set against an ambient cyberpunk graphic backdrop, it delivers a bewitching experience that invites viewers on a complex, emotional and visual journey.

In alignment with ‘Spectrum's’ launch, SAER will headline a special event supporting the National Autistic Society around World Autism Acceptance Week 2024. This intimate concert in the West Midlands for 100 attendees aims to raise autism awareness through music and storytelling. SAER's performance promises to connect deeply with the audience, underscoring his commitment to music as a means for social impact and unity.

SAER's latest single is a testament to his versatility as a writer and performer, navigating sensitive topics with genuine passion and sensitivity. ‘Spectrum’ aims to foster greater recognition for the neurodiverse population and inspire listeners to embrace the essence of every individual beyond surface-level perceptions.

‘Spectrum’ by SAER is available on all major streaming platforms starting Friday, 29th March 2024. Join SAER in celebrating the beauty of neurodiversity through this heartfelt musical and visual journey.

SAER is a musical project by Birmingham-based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Simon Davies. Described as "hauntingly beautiful" by BBC Music Introducing, SAER is an artist known for captivating audiences with his mesmerising vocal performance. His heart-stopping falsetto and sophisticated melodies deliver poetic lyrics with zeal and sensitivity in equal measure. An emotive singer with a distinctive voice, SAER’s songwriting embraces the curiosity and vulnerabilities of human nature.

UK-based SAER, performing an experimental blend of electronic pop and folk with cinematic sensibilities, is making a name for himself through live performances and independent releases. A multi-instrumentalist, his music moves effortlessly between stormy electronic soundscapes and minimalist heartfelt laments. Drawing influence from artists like Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake and Imogen Heap, SAER creates a contemporary sound that is both unique and intriguing.

The singer, songwriter, and producer works from his home studio, a hive of creativity where his ideas are woven with soundscapes and poetry into masterful productions. SAER’s original material has garnered national radio play and praise from original charting artists for his covers, which include a dark and cinematic take on ‘Walking On The Moon’ The Police, Brian Wilson's 'Good Vibrations', Johnny Cash’s ‘I Walk The Line’ and an ambient folk interpretation of The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding lights’.

He gathered acclaim for an emotional dedication to his late Father, ‘Start A Fire’ with BBC 6 Radio and released ‘Call Me Out’ with Baby Woman Records, winning international support for this song written for his daughter. SAER’s release earlier this year ‘Whistle Your Part’ was picked up by luxury auto brand Bentley for a visual project to celebrate Earth Day. SAER performs live at festivals and venues around the UK as an artist within London’s Talentbanq Roster.

In 2018, SAER participated in The Voice UK, his performance stirred significant social media and press interest, for his electrifying rendition of Harry Styles' ‘Sign of the Times’, receiving approval from all four judges and kick-started his musical career.
