VANCOUVER, BC – May 26, 2025 — Potluck Cafe Society, a Vancouver-based nonprofit, is celebrating an extraordinary act of community care and generosity from beloved local restaurant Anh and Chi, which raised over $7,200 through their Reservation by Donation program to support Potluck’s mission.

This meaningful contribution couldn’t have come at a more critical time. Like many community-driven organizations, Potluck has faced serious financial hardship over the past year—coming dangerously close to shutting its services. The funds raised by Anh and Chi helped keep essential programs running and meals on the table for some of Vancouver’s most vulnerable residents.

“This wasn’t just a donation—this was a lifeline,” said Maz Artang, Chairman of Potluck Cafe Society. “We were days away from cutting services. Thanks to Anh and Chi, we were able to keep going. It’s a reminder of what happens when local businesses step up not just as entrepreneurs, but as neighbours.”

Potluck Cafe Society has long been a cornerstone of community support in Vancouver. It provides food services, employment opportunities, and a sense of connection for those facing poverty, mental health challenges, as well as women in shelters and children in need. As the cost of living continues to rise and funding becomes more uncertain, support from the community is more vital than ever.
This moment of generosity is also a call to action.

Potluck Cafe Society is inviting other local businesses to collaborate—whether through event partnerships, catering orders, or donations—to help sustain and grow its impact.
