Mangesh Waghmare alias Mangya Encountered!


Gun shots in broad day light… hours of long chase… and finally an encounter which made it to every newspapers headlines. The viewers this week will be in for treat as they will see popular actors Eijaz khan and Chetan Hansraj in distinctive roles. The next episode will depict the encounter of Mangesh Waghmare aka Mangya who was known as a dreaded criminal in Mumbai. Fearless and volatile Mangya, in no time left a mark in the underworld business.
Talking about his experience Chetan Hansraj states, "I am portraying the character of dreaded gangster known as Mangya aka Mangesh Waghmare. He used to be an minor criminal but overnight he became one of the topmost gangster of the city. So, this is his story of exponential growth to an inevitable police encounter. The experience of playing Mangya is outstanding. Mangya's character has many shades of grey and is each characteristic is conveyed convincingly. He has only one passion in life and that is to kill people. He is being supported and has influence of some political parties which leads him to become a don. Playing such a role is really amazing and larger than life and I feel that I am shooting for a film. The way it has been shot and directed is really amazing."
Commenting on his association with the show, Eijaz Khan says, “I am playing an honest cop who always tries to get into the depth of everything. He is someone who is concerned about the society in large. This the very first time I am playing the role of a cop and I can surely say it is one my best works I have ever done. My experience working on the sets of Encounter was splendid. Very few actors get the opportunity to play such a role and I feel blessed to get that chance. Also I have known Chetan for a long time, so working with him on Encounter was just like chilling with an old friend.”
The episode will also feature some most prominent and talented faces of television which will add the drama quotient in this action packed episode.
