Speculative-fiction author and speaker **Anastasia Dubinina** will host *“Building Worlds Beyond the Known – An Evening of Fictional Cartography”* on **Sunday, 4 May, 6 p.m. BST** at **Royal Festival Hall Foyers, Southbank Centre, London**.
The interactive talk pulls back the curtain on the creation of Tarveran, the fractured-physics universe of Dubinina’s novel *Shattered Horizons*.
> “Imagined worlds aren’t an escape hatch; they are laboratories where we examine reality from fresh angles,” says Dubinina. “My goal is to invite readers and gamers alike to co-navigate those frontiers.”
During the 90-minute session the author will:
* Map the relationship between geography, economics and belief systems inside invented societies;
* Share never-before-seen drafts, discarded plot threads and early cartography for Tarveran;
* Offer practical techniques for balancing the recognisable and the impossible in any narrative medium.
A live Q&A will conclude the evening. Admission is **free**, but seating is limited. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP via Meetup (link below).
