It started back while attending Sparta high school in Sparta New Jersey. Daniel David Brauer had a very strong idea of what he wanted to do with his life as he has been known for being outgoing. He would take part in a vocational program while he was attending high school in a general electrician. This would be a very important phase in his career as an electrician. He decided to attend County College of Morris and Sussex community college. During that timeframe, he already tried working in an office position behind the desk. But it did not seem to suit him well, so he decided to start going into trade work. His first two jobs were at a working mill the first one would give him the opportunity to build staircases. The second one would be for making home furnishings.

Daniel David Brauer would soon find that his luck would change in a very short amount of time. There will be an opening for an electrician's helper that was local. By that point, he decided to move back to Sparta New Jersey. It was during that move another opportunity came up as an electrical contractor. The job would be beginning of a long-awaited opportunity. The company started him off the contractor and after a while became clear that the company would go to the union. Once he became part of the IBEW local 102 union he had learned a great deal of what it took to be an honest, well-accomplished electricians. He dedicated hours of hands-on training with many experienced foremen. Then the time came for the opportunity that would change his life completely. The union was now taking workers to become an apprentice. The program was extremely intense and very much a hands-on experience. It was during the hands-on training he would start mastering his trade and truly start enjoying the benefits of being in the union. He was also required to take four years of night school classes.

Daniel David Brauer would become extremely successful in accomplishing the program. He would soon after have been great opportunity becoming a boiler room operator and a power plant. The position is extremely high demand and high responsibility as well. He is a very caring family man.
