Dwayne S Beck is a California lawyer who specializes in representing the Amusement Park and Insurance industries. His firm, The Law Offices of Dwayne S Beck, takes cases throughout the state of California.

Dwayne S Beck has also been active in coaching youth sports for many years. Working with young people can be difficult, as he has learned, and Dwayne S Beck knows what it takes to be successful as a youth sports coach. By its very nature, he says that sports is going to bring out the competitive side of young athletes, but he always tries to emphasize that youth sports is more about having fun and learning the fundamentals of a game than it is about winning. That, he says, is one of the most important lessons that any new youth sports coach should learn.

Beyond that, Dwayne S Beck says that safety is another issue that is at the top of his list of lessons learned in coaching. Safety, he says, always comes first. At the first sign of thunder, for example, he will get the kids on his teams away from the playing field to a safe place. The rule of thumb is to wait at least twenty minutes without seeing lightning or hearing thunder, but if there is even the slightest doubt, Dwayne S Beck will postpone a game or a practice.

When it comes to the game itself, Dwayne S Beck believes that all of his kids deserve playing time, and he platoons his players to make sure they get it. He has never hesitated to pull his best players, even if the game is on the line, in order to make sure everyone has equal time on the field.

Dwayne S Beck also insists on good sportsmanship from his players. It is important that they understand you aren't always going to win, he says, and that losing graciously is an important thing to learn. It can also be applied to many of life's situations as the kids get older.

Equally important, Dwayne S Beck believes, is his own behavior. Kids see just about everything and he always tries to model proper behavior on and off the field. He is patient with all of his players, never loses his cool when a call goes against his team, and treats all of his young players equally and fairly. He also insists that the kids behave themselves on the sidelines.
