Jocelyn Vegter, an established IT professional, is an avid lover of nature and outdoor adventures. Constantly on the move and looking for new terrain to explore, Jocelyn Vegter has been all over the country in pursuit of exciting experiences and discovery on our planet. An amateur videographer, Jocelyn Vegter has taken to filming particularly exciting adventures and sharing these on popular video sharing websites. Jocelyn Vegter states, “I crave the excitement of varied opportunities, and the Spring Canyon has always been something on my bucket list.”

So, the Spring Canyon it was. Jocelyn Vegter set out with some friends to explore this wonder of the world, a rocky testament to the age of the earth and the power of its elements. In reference to her first impression of the vast scenery, Jocelyn Vegter states, “It was simply breathtaking. That’s all you can say. I think it has stood the test of time to remind us that there is something at work much larger than ourselves.”

As evidenced by her film, which documents the descent to the bottom of the canyon, Jocelyn Vegter understands the majesty and the thrill of being a small, moving organism in such an expansive environment. When watching the film, it is easy to take a glimpse of the edge of the road as it drops thousands of feet to a rocky surface. Jocelyn Vegter recalls, “It was definitely a little scary driving down to the bottom. I kept thinking, ‘What if I lose my grip for a second and we go off the side?’ Fortunately, that didn’t happen!”

Having realized her dream of filming her descent to the bottom of the Spring Canyon, Jocelyn Vegter hopes to share this film with others to get them motivated to visit the canyon as well. For Jocelyn Vegter, the Spring Canyon in Moab, Utah is full of natural history as well as wonder. Jocelyn Vegter is planning another trip to the canyon, where she plans to document the most thrilling of her discoveries. Jocelyn Vegter states, “I can’t wait to go back and capture more footage. It is truly an amazing sight to behold in person.”
