Anyone who has met Vishwas Godbole sees he is a man who knows his way around the world of business. He has navigated his career as an electrical engineer into the level of vice president before leaving to create his own businesses. As much as he loves the world of business, Vishwas Godbole has a giving and creative side people may not see until they get to know him on a personal level.

One of the charities Vishwas Godbole supports annually is the South Asian Heart Center. He and his wife are strong advocates for the charity and each year make considerable donations. Vishwas Godbole, along with his wife is listed as donors to the center for their gift between $5,000 and $24,999.

“We believe it is important to give back to community and help people around us. Even though much of our charity goes to helping people in India, we also help people right here in the United States, too. We support the heart center for a reason; statistics show that in South Asia, a quarter of people who suffer from a heart disease are younger than 40. That is alarming and preventable with screening and preventative care,” states Vishwas Godbole.

“By donating to the medical group, people who are “at risk” are able to be screened, but also educated and advised on what lifestyle changes they need to make in order to reduce their risk for heart disease,” explains Vishwas Godbole. Helping save the lives of young and old alike suffering from heart disease is important to Vishwas Godbole. It is a cause he has been supporting for years and he plans to continue his support.

Vishwas Godbole cares for the health of people suffering from disease an ocean away, but he also supports maintaining a cultural heritage in the United States for those of Marathi background. In San Jose, California, Vishwas Godbole and his wife produced the open ceremonies of the 1999 Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal programs. They supported the opening ceremonies of the BMM in Seattle in 2007 as well. Vishwas Godbole also composed the music for the programs.
