Jerry Simonelli has spent over 20 years as a pastor, ad has dedicated his life and work to making his community a better place for all who live there. He has facilitated several highly successful fundraisers and charity events, resulting in millions of dollars towards improving local parishes. Recently, he worked with other members of the community to raise fund for the construction of a new youth ministry center in Bloomingdale, IL. Jerry Simonelli worked in tandem with the director of the youth ministry at the St. Isidore Catholic church to develop fundraising events and construction plans. The youth ministry director had envisioned a place just for the young people of the community. With the average age of the parishioners increasing, and parents in the community wanting a place for the family, the new youth ministry was the perfect answer. It was designed to be a place where kids can go to relax in a safe environment and learn about their faith.

After nine months of planning and construction, and raising nearly $180,000 in donations, the youth ministry center known as "The Link" was completed. The Link features five meeting rooms and a prayer room. In the recreation center, kids can play foosball, pool, ping pong, and video games. The Link holds nightly educational sessions, and since its opening has seen hundreds of attendees weekly. Kids that attend the Link have a chance to meet other like-minded friends and build strong relationships within their community. It gives kids a sense of purpose and confidence, which are important to leading a successful and fulfilled life later on in adulthood. "I have always enjoyed doing good deeds for the youth of my community", says Jerry Simonelli. "Our youth is our future; they should be protected and encouraged to grow up as good people who have a strong moral code and a love for their fellow humans."

Jerry Simonelli is currently pursuing his dreams of working as a professional event planner for a large-scale charity organization. He hopes to combine his talent for organizing fundraising events with his love of doing good deeds for the people around him.
