Justin Krashefski is a Coast Guard veteran who has done a sting in law enforcement and is now a full-time college student.

When Justin Krashefski left high school, he knew he was ready to serve our nation’s military. He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and was off to basic training camp as soon as possible, where he learned the essentials needed to make it in the Coast Guard.
Justin Krashefski already had some of those essentials: a strong mind, a hard work ethic, a drive to succeed and peak physical fitness. He practiced those every day growing up, keeping him distracted from the typical destructive adolescent behavior that many teenagers embrace. His knack for solidarity made him successful with his physical and class testing, however it did not help his popularity among his classmates.

Teamwork was something that Justin Krashefski learned to develop and eventually master in the United States Coast Guard. Over his five years of enlistment he started to make friends and develop a sense of camaraderie with them. This helped in his advancement through the ranks, as becoming more and more respected among his fellow men displayed a sharpened skill of leadership for Justin Krashefski.

Almost a decade later, Justin Krashefski looks back on his time in the Coast Guard and appreciates all the talent and insight he inherited from his term of service. Not only did he come in close contact with drug and human traffickers in the Caribbean Sea, but he also came in contact with people who would risk everything to live the American dream. Justin Krashefski found himself inspired by the people who would swim to American soil or would entrust their livelihood and money to a stranger who promised to get them there. It reminded Justin Krashefski of the reasons he was out there and the values he needed to protect, a credo that he would carry back with him to land.

Now a former police officer and the holder of an Associate’s degree in Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology, Justin Krashefski is currently seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University. The credits his success to the time he spent in the United States Coast Guard, and carries their values with him in all his endeavors.
