In Exeter, Rhode Island, it comes as no surprise to see the name of Carrs Overhead Doors as a local sports team sponsor. The company has been sponsoring local sports teams for a while and believes children’s sports serve a very important purpose. As of 2013, Carrs Overhead Doors sponsors four different teams.

Outside of little league, Carrs Overhead Doors proudly sponsors girls softball and the Exeter West Greenwich soccer team.

“At Carrs Overhead Doors, we believe sports participation is important. Children need to be active; it is healthy for them physically and mentally,” says Carrs Overhead Doors’ representative. There are many benefits to sports participation, including the development of valuable social skills. Other benefits children experience when playing sports include increased coordination, positive self-image, and learning to work in a team environment with an emphasis on personal development.

Carrs Overhead Doors sees sports sponsorships as a fostering of community spirit. “Many people enjoy watching the kids play. It is great to go out and support your local team. As a sponsor, their victory feels like your victory and it is great to feel a part of that,” says Carrs Overhead Doors.

Carrs Overhead Doors plans to continue sponsoring their local teams. The company has two decades of community presence and is now a recognized sponsor.
