Vishwas Godbole is a man of many talents. For thirty years, he contributed to the field of communications as an electrical engineer. He worked as an engineer from 1972 to 2001. In 1999, Vishwas Godbole became the founder of his first company; a communications company named Navin Communications, Inc. Vishwas Godbole worked as Founder, President and CEO of Navin Communications until 2001 when he founded Opulent Strategies, LLC, an investment management company.

In 2003, Vishwas Godbole started Opulent Fund, LP, a hedge fund. Even into 2013, Vishwas Godbole continues to manage both companies. “I enjoy my work in business and finance. But I also believe creativity is important, too. I don’t think people realize I have a creative side, too,” says Vishwas Godbole.

People who know him personally are aware of his many talents. In 1999, Vishwas Godbole and his wife produced the opening ceremonies of Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal in San Jose in 1999. They produced the opening ceremonies again in 2007, for the Seattle BMM. “Over 3,000 people attended the opening ceremony’s dance musicals,” says Vishwas Godbole. In both cases, Vishwas Godbole composed original music for the programs and had them professionally recorded in India. At the ceremonies, the CD albums were distributed.

The ceremonies were not Vishwas Godbole’s only experience with music. He has several published music albums, jingles and even wrote the musical score to the 2012 movie Dr. Ravi and Mr. Hyde. Music composer and producer Jonathan Peter Grellas also uses Vishwas Godbole for collaboration demonstrating his connections in the music industry.

Vishwas Godbole is not alone in his love for composing and producing music; Vishwas Godbole’s son has also pursued the music world. “There are a lot of rewards in creating music and then hearing the music played for thousands to hear. I am grateful I have had the opportunity to do as much as I have. I hope to have many more chances in the future,” says Vishwas Godbole. The majority of the music produced by Vishwas Godbole is used in Bollywood which is culturally important to Vishwas Godbole.
