Sudanese Diplomat Placed on Board of Trustees at Nile Valley University

Kamil Idris of Sudan has been selected to serve on the board of trustees for a premier Sudanese university.

 
As a student at the University of Khartoum, Kamil Idris of Sudan was given the opportunity to see firsthand the effects of the decisions made by members of the Board of Trustees. Kamil Idris of Sudan quickly learned that the decisions of the Board affected many more than the students of the university, as these individuals were looked at as community leaders and role models. From his experiences at the University of Khartoum, along with his previous experience at the University of Cairo, Kamil Idris of Sudan created a standard for himself that he would never abuse the authority given to him.

Since his graduation from the University of Khartoum, Kamil Idris of Sudan has obtained further degrees in public administration, international affairs, and international law from universities across the globe. The varied educational experiences of Kamil Idris of Sudan have given him insight into the inner workings of a variety of universities.

After a break from academia in which Kamil Idris of Sudan served as a diplomat and representative of Sudan in the United Nations, Kamil Idris of Sudan has been called back into the academic world to serve as a member of the board of trustees at the Nile Valley University. The opportunity to serve on the board is one that Kamil Idris of Sudan is excited about. When asked, Kamil Idris of Sudan commented: “I am thrilled to be able to reach the academic institutions of my nation. I hope that under my leadership, the university will continue to flourish and become a great institution.”

Centered on the behavior of students and faculty, Kamil Idris of Sudan intends to use his authority to help the university improve, and knows that under his leadership there will be a marked increase in the number of great scholars that the university produces. Kamil Idris of Sudan's varied experiences in academia have given him a unique perspective on the needs of universities, and Kamil Idris of Sudan will do his best to make good decisions for the university.
