When Sukamto Sia was 23 years old, he was in college, learning to become a professional in the world of business. However, it was at this time that something unexpected occurred – he met the woman who would become the love of his life. Sukarman Sukamto recalls, “When I first saw her, I could not believe my eyes, it was like a record was skipping in my heart. It was the most wonderful feeling. Although I was very nervous, I knew that I had to meet this woman. We were in the cafeteria area of our school, and I remember walking up beside her as she stood in line. I made a bad joke about the quality of the food and she laughed. It is when I heard that laugh that I knew I wanted to hear it for the rest of my life.”
The young couple fell in love quickly and madly. Sukamto Sia and his beloved knew that they wanted to get married within the first few months of their courtship; however, they both recognized the importance of finishing their education without the distraction of putting together a wedding ceremony. Due to this, they both decided to have a long engagement. They would finish school first, and then get married.
Although the two found it difficult to wait so long, they knew that they were making the right choice. Less than a year after they graduated, Sukarman Sukamto and his fiancée were married in a lovely ceremony. They both remember it fondly, as all of their friends and family were there to witness the celebration of their love. Now, with their wedding anniversary approaching, Sukamto Sia wishes to celebrate the many years of blissful marriage he has shared with his wife.
He wishes to say this to her: “I have loved you from the first moment I laid eyes on you, and I wish to thank you for giving me the best years of my life so far. I can only hope that I make you half as happy as you make me. I’m so happy for the time we’ve spent together.”
