As a social worker in New York City, Thea Jandzio has found the non-profit sector to be the best way to reach the largest number of individuals and families struggling from addiction, HIV, mental health, and homelessness. After gaining a formal education at Oneonta and Fordham Universities, Thea obtained the proper credentials to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW.) in the State of New York.

One of her earlier work experiences in the field was as an administrator for Public Health Solutions in NYC, where she supervised and monitored 38 contracts awarded to hospital systems, community based clinics and non-profit organizations for people living with HIV/AIDS. After three years, Jandzio moved to a senior leadership position at Project Hospitality in Staten Island, where for the next eight years she was responsible for the operations and leadership of the Adult Services Division with over 350 clients and 80 employees. In 2011, Jandzio moved to Heritage Health and Housing to become their Director of Contract Administration.and then was offered a position at The Jewish Board, Inc. 2014.

Since 2014, Thea Jandzio has been the Executive Program Director of Adult and Family Residential Services at The Jewish Board of Children and Family Services, which is the largest non-profit in New York City. In this high-level position, she is responsible for the overall clinical and administrative oversight of the organization’s Adult and Family Residential Services division. Jandzio manages this demanding role by displaying exemplary leadership ability, recognizing and developing talent while being a strong advocate for evidenced based service models. It is a position that Jandzio has been working towards for well over a decade; and now she celebrates having the opportunity to make a difference in her community.
