Irving, TX National Carriers, Inc., has announced Drivers of the Month for June and July. Each month an outstanding driver is selected to receive a bonus of one thousand dollars. One driver from these twelve finalists will be selected for 2019 Driver of the Year and will be awarded ten thousand dollars as a company prize.
Jason Price was named NCI Driver of the Month for June. Living in Mississippi, Price leases a truck through NCI Leasing and operates his truck on a regional fleet. Since joining National Carriers in 2017, he has distinguished himself through proven safety practices, customer service, and self-employed aptitude.
NCI Assistant Leasing Director Kim Obholz states, “Jason is a good family and business man. He is always respectful of others, has a kind heart and would do anything to help anyone. He is an ideal leasing partner.”
Richard Digman from Woodward, OK, was named July Driver of the Month. Beginning at NCI as a company driver on the Hide Division, he saved for a year and bought his own truck. Over the past two years, he has enjoyed the challenges and benefits of being an owner operator.
“Freight is always consistent and I get home once a week. After the first year with National, I decided to buy a truck to increase my income. I can do all my own mechanical work so that helps keep my expenses down. I even overhauled my engine. There have been some growing pains, but I am glad I did it,” shared Digman.
National Carriers dispatcher Phillip Eade commented, “Richard is willing to go the extra mile to help, or give up the extra mile to help someone in need. He is an excellent communicator, very dependable, and I enjoy working with him.”
