U.S. Mining Ranking 2022
The new Mining industry ratings for 2022 have just been released by RealRate.
These are the top three Mining companies in the U.S., measured by Economic Capital Ratio:
1. CONTANGO – ORE 384.52%
2. TEXAS MINERAL RESOURCES – 330.95%
3. FORTITUDE GOLD – 262.67%

Contango Ore are based in Houston, Texas and were founded in 2009. They are currently developing Alaska’s next gold mine and have total assets of $36 million. Texas Mineral Resources are a bit of an older company, being founded in 1970, and are headquartered in Texas. Quoting their website, it believes ‘it is imperative to re-establish the United States as the leader in technology, production and refining of the strategically vital heavy rare earth elements.’ Fortitude Gold are the newest company in the top 3, being founded in 2020 in Colorado. It is a gold producer targeting projects with low operating costs, with strong returns on capital and high margins.
