U.S. Pharmaceutical Ranking 2022

The new Pharma ratings for 2022 have just been released by RealRate.

These are the top three U.S. Pharma companies with best financial health, measured by Economic Capital Ratio:

1. AGIOS PHARMACEUTICALS – 1002.04%
2. OVID THERAPEUTICS – 665.35%
3. OMEROS – 506.44%

A fairly recent player in the pharmaceutical industry, Agios Pharmaceuticals was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They are a pioneering leader in cellular metabolism. Ovid Therapeutics is even newer, being founded in 2014 and based out of New York. They’re a biotech company supplying products to those affected by rare neurological diseases. Omeros are the oldest company of the three, being founded in 1994 and are a Seattle-based company specialising in small-molecule and protein therapeutics. The three companies went from 206th, 350th and 319th places in 2021 respectively, so a massive rise for all three.

U.S. pharmaceuticals output and sales remain strong during 2022, largely driven by the continuing global vaccination rollout, and also huge demand for both essential and non-essential medical treatments.”
