Rene Schillinger is a certified trainer in the Whole School Reform model and works with schools to help them implement needed reform. He became a certified trainer in 2003 and has been working closely with schools to help them improve their processes and instruction to better provide their students with a good education. In 2009, he founded Schillinger Educational Consultants in order to better serve and help his clients, including the Nativity Network of Schools.

Rene Schillinger cares about education and believes that school reform is important for several reasons. Schools that are located in large cities often struggle with overcrowding. Teachers in overcrowded school often have a difficult time providing their students with high-quality education and decreasing their ability to learn skills that are essential for success. Schillinger uses his knowledge of various Whole School Reform Models to help these schools find the best ways to implement these reforms.

Rene Schillinger focuses on improving literacy training and helping every relevant teacher within a school to create meaningful reform. His methods focus on training teachers in best practices relating to literacy and all that it involves. He works closely with a group of schools and school districts that are generally trying to improve their literacy instruction.

Rene Schillinger holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Lehigh University and a Masters in Teaching English from New York University. He is currently enrolled at the Teachers College of Columbia University, working to obtain his doctoral degree. He was born and raised in New York City and is the son of two European immigrants. When he is not helping schools improve their education, he loves to travel and is always looking for an opportunity to sing.
