Leading With Sustainability: Rhino Play’s Eco Travel & Play Equipment

Posted February 26, 2025 by rhinoplay06

RHINO Play, a Devon-based playground design and installation company, is setting a new standard for sustainability in the industry with its eco-conscious approach to travel.

By using electric vehicles for their regional visits, they are not only reducing emissions but also championing greener practices with the use of recycled plastic equipment.

In a step towards sustainable business practices, Stuart and Pete, two dedicated professionals representing Rhino Play in the South West and South East/Midland regions, are leading by example with their eco-conscious approach to travel. Both using electric vehicles (EVs) as part of their commitment to the environment, Stuart drives a CUPRA and Pete an MG, ensuring their visits across the regions contribute zero emissions.

Their switch to EVs is not only a positive step for the environment but also aligns with their dedication to sustainability in every aspect of their work. Stuart’s CUPRA is partly charged through his own solar panels, making his travel even more eco-friendly.

Their forward-thinking, sustainable approach is complemented by their use of recycled plastic equipment. By using these materials, the company not only helps reduce landfill waste but also ensures that playgrounds are built to be durable, safe for children and environmentally responsible.

Here are five of Rhino Play’s favourite recycled playground pieces for 2025:
1) Recycled Plastic Ramp & Net
Climb, crawl, and conquer! This eco-friendly ramp and net combination lets little adventurers test their balance and agility in a fun, collaborative way.

2) Recycled Plastic Overhead Ladder
This overhead ladder offers the perfect challenge for children, helping them build confidence as they swing and navigate through their playground adventures.

3) Recycled Plastic Country Castle
Every playground needs a royal touch! A country castle is the perfect place for imaginative play, offering sturdy, eco-conscious fun for all the young kings and queens.

4) Recycled Plastic Bench
This stylish, comfortable bench offers a quiet spot to sit back and watch the fun unfold.

5) Recycled Plastic Fencing
Keep the play area safe and stylish with this durable fencing that blends seamlessly into any outdoor play space.

Stuart Hunt, Head of Sales at Rhino Play, expressed excitement about the future of the company’s operations: "Our goal is to combine our work with positive environmental impact. Every mile driven in my EV is one less mile contributed to emissions, and by using solar power to charge my car, I’m taking it a step further in reducing my environmental impact."

Pete echoed Stuart's sentiments: "As we continue to make strides in using recycled materials and eco-friendly solutions, it's important to us that every action we take, including how we travel, supports our commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable world."
