Ethnic fashion has ruled the industry from the beginning and has been making highlights in the fashion industry with continuous experimentation by eminent designers.

Styles, cuts, shapes, patterns and embellishments have even gone tremendous changes – now variety has no limits!
Moreover, usually chosen among ethnic garments are sarees or salwar suits for wedding and other festive occasions.
But, now we are left with alternative choices too like palazzos, sharara, lehenga choli, layered anarkali dress, Pakistani suits etc.
You must keep in mind some of the important things in mind while choosing salwar suits for wedding.
Design
Wedding is indeed the most remarkable occasion in one’s life. Who likes to take chances by choosing designs that showcases your flaws?
Study your body physique or scrutinize your body personality – before making a style check or makeover.
An anarkali might look good on your friend but might not look graceful on you and on the other hand palazzos might look good on you because of your tall frame and not on your friend!
So, don’t follow the design styles of someone thinking it might look good on you.
Fabric
Fabric indeed makes or mars in accentuating your curves with grace. Fabrics like georgette, silk cotton, banarasi, chanderi silk are subtle feminine fabrics while velvet suits may speak loud about you!
To make sensuousness of your style make the talk of town – make sure you choose the right fabrics for accentuating through various cuts and patterns.
Cotton salwars are mostly suitable for formal occasions but for festive occasions you need to be picky and wise enough to choose the right embellishments for your salwar pattern.
Embellishments
Stones, zardosi work, phulkari work are few of the embellishments which add grace to your attire. But on velvet suit design, golden or silver thread works with stones look all the more alluring!
Hence, fabric and style of the salwar is something you must keep in mind - if you want to try out designing any particular type of salwar design for yourself.
Make sure it looks great on you and design patterns are in sync to it.
Mix ‘n’ Match
You might have set on a shopping spree and all you find is a beautiful designer kameez and you pick it up!
Now you’re ideally at a fix, as you do not have salwar or dupatta to complement.
What you can do is you can try mix ‘n’ match style by pairing cigarette pants and contrast colour dupatta from your wardrobe.
In this way you can create signature styles from your own wardrobe.
Accessories
As we know that minimalism speaks high!
Hence, keep in mind to style as much when needed and go simple as much as possible. This is something which is keeping in trend nowadays.
Let your eyes and locks do the talking.
A dab of lip gloss, smeared kohl eyes, heavy jhumkars and colourful bangles – are elements which add up to your ethnic look.

Deck up, show up and make your style an identity of who you are!
