After the update on July 2nd, the mythical max cape can be created by using OSRS mythical cape on a max cape. The mythical cape can be purchased for 10,000 coins from Jack at the Mythical Cape Store, which can be found on the top floor of the Myths' Guild. OSRS max cape can be purchased from Mac on an island west of the Warriors' Guild.
When the mythical max cape is created, the max hood required in your inventory during the creation will be automatically converted to OSRS mythical max hood.

The mythical max cape only acts as a cosmetic upgrade to OSRS mythical cape, without the max cape's stats or perks. You can use the cape to perform the skillcape emote.
Mac can refund a max cape and its variants as long as you have the hood and cape in your inventory. Capes combined with the max cape will be lost upon refund.
If you do not protect the mythical max cape in the wilderness (level 20 and above), the cape will be converted into coins upon death. The cape will remain in your inventory if you die below level 20 Wilderness, but it must be repaired by using the item on Perdu.
