Cleaning a door handle

When it comes to the most common places where bacteria gather, people think of computer keyboards, money, mobile phones, and door handles.

Any touched surface can be responsible for transmitting diseases. Whether we like it or not, our hands are covered by bacteria. Although we do not see them, bacteria are all around us. Do not worry, not all of them cause problems. In fact, most of them do us good. Our entire existence is based on what the bacteria do to help our immune system. But we also need to help bacteria help us in return, by taking care of our body.

Just as we take care of ourselves, we also need to take care of the things we use. We may wash our hands 10 times a day, because if we do not clean our desk, computer, and chair, the washing has no effect, since immediately after cleaning our hands we touch the dirty desk or computer. So in order to have an excellent health status, we need to perform cleaning operations on every little thing that we use.

A door handle is the most touched surface of a door, therefore, it has to be cleaned more than the door itself, and in most cases, by using different cleaning instructions. The only time when we are allowed to use the same cleaning solutions for the door handle and the door itself is when the door lever and the door are both made from the same material, such as glass, copper, stainless steel, plastic, or brass.

Cleaning a door lever can be done in various ways. One of the ways involves using a soft cloth and a bit of warm water, where we have previously put several grams of detergent; this solution works great for glass handles. Another way is to use specific cleaners sprayed onto a soft rag, never onto the surface of the handle; this works for metallic handles. And for extra cleaning, one can remove the handle from its door and place it in a liquid cleaning solution; this works for those handles that have not been cleaned in a long time.

In your house, door handles are touched by you, your family, guests, neighbors, friends, and even unexpected people. At your office, they are touched by you, your colleagues, superiors, inferiors, clients, providers, the auxiliary personnel, and others. Each of the persons who touch the door handles could carry dreadful bacteria on their hands. Unfortunately, you cannot wash your hands every time you touch a handle, to keep the risk of diseases at bay. But you can do something to protect yourself, and this is to clean the handles regularly and ask your family/colleagues to also invest time in this operation, because this is for their own health.

People do not realize that a great health is in their hands, literally. When they catch a cold or start to suffer from a skin condition, they blame their fate, partner, mother, father, sibling, without knowing that all is in their hands. People are responsible for everything that happens to them. That is why they should take good care of their body and mind. A great health status can be achieved by following certain codes of conduct, designed to help people reach and maintain an enviable health. And these codes should refer to any little thing that we use, including a door handle http://www.novahardware.com or door lever http://www.novahardware.com . If we aim to have a maximum health, we need to clean not only our body, but every thing that surrounds us.
