The “State of Sales Hiring” survey published today by Sciolytix and SellingPower® revealed that on average companies need 100 applicants to fill 3 open sales positions.

 
The “State of Sales Hiring” survey published today by Sciolytix and SellingPower® revealed that on average companies need 100 applicants to fill 3 open sales positions.

The survey, which captured perspectives from sales hiring managers, sales recruiters, and applicants also uncovered several challenges and disconnects between sales hiring managers and recruiters, as well as current benchmarks and best practices related to the sales hiring process.

For example, the great resignation has hit sales organizations hard, and they struggle to fill positions in a timely manner. That problem will get worse as the survey revealed a whopping 94% of sales reps are wither actively seeking or open to the right opportunity. Sales leaders face pressure to hire fast but also hire well, but over 60% are not satisfied with the sales hiring process and quality of candidates.
