Pakistan — Mega Energy Equipment, the foreigb-based energy-technology subsidiary of Tonson International, today completed a high-level site visit to one of Pakistan’s largest cement plants to evaluate the integration of a Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) Power System. The assessment marks a pivotal step toward converting high-temperature kiln exhaust into clean, low-cost electricity—reducing both operating expenses and carbon emissions for Pakistan’s rapidly expanding cement industry.

During the visit, Mega Energy engineers and plant officials inspected preheater towers, clinker coolers, and existing heat-exchanger infrastructure to map out optimal steam-cycle configurations. Preliminary studies indicate that the proposed WHR installation could generate up to 9 MW of captive power, cutting grid demand by nearly 25 percent and eliminating ≈50,000 tCO₂ annually.
