Hundreds attend this year's Journal Wedding Fair in St Asaph

COUPLES planning their perfect wedding got a helping hand thanks to the Rhyl Journal on Sunday.

The Journal Wedding Fair 2015 was held at the Oriel Country Hotel and Spa, St Asaph, and featured everything brides and grooms-to-be need to plan their big day.

Everything from up to the minute wedding styles, lovingly baked cakes, tailored balloon designs, marquee hire, beauty, hair updos, to bespoke flower arrangements and wedding photography were on show.

A catwalk show brought a host of dresses and looks to life while there was also live music throughout the day as well as fitness demonstrations.


More than 30 exhibitors were on display at the fair with experienced wedding professionals from traditional exhibitors showcasing wedding cars, bridalwear, groomswear and wedding decor to more bespoke businesses showcasing their video booths, photo booths, candy carts and even a magician.

Mandy Ellis, NWN Media's Coastal Group Advertisement Manager, said: "This was another successful wedding fair, with more than 100 brides through the door and more than 500 visitors to the event.

"There was a spectacular catwalk display from Wedding Bliss Prestatyn as well as a performance by vocalist Jason King and a fitness demonstration by Vibe at City Fit.

"I would also like to thank to Phoenix Hair Design, Abergele, and Robyn Brookes-Jones for the hair and make up.

"This year the Oriel displayed its first ever marquee wedding so visitors were able to enjoy the sunshine and see the marquee set for their perfect day, complete with live band Double Vision who played throughout the day.

"Thanks to all our exhibitors who supported the event, Sparks Mobile Disco and a massive thanks to our hosts the Oriel Country Hotel and Spa, who once again pulled out all the stops.

"Finally I would like to thank our models and Journal staff who gave their time on the day."
