Representing the largest gift in Oak Valley’s history, new funds will award scholarships supporting 20 students for Fall 2022.

Oak Valley College received Accreditation with WASC, Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission, joining 198 other colleges and universities, including the UC and Cal State University Systems, Stanford, and USC. The WASC Commission commended Oak Valley College in a number of areas, including its "strong commitment, demonstrated at all organizational levels, to offering high-quality, debt-free educational opportunities to the region's underserved populations."

Launched in 2016, Oak Valley achieved the accreditation milestone in the shortest time possible, attesting to its focus on high-quality academics and student success. Accreditation validates the integrity of a school’s programs, successful student learning, as well as operational quality and sustainability. Oak Valley has graduated three cohorts with students moving on to jobs in business, ministry, and nonprofit organizations. Students have also gone on to graduate school.

Coupled with this milestone, Oak Valley announced a generous gift received by an unnamed donor funding 20 new scholarships for students who enroll for the 2022 Fall Semester.
President Eric Blum states, “Students in the Inland Empire will benefit from this transformational gift, providing greater affordability for students who enroll this Fall. Coming on the heels of Oak Valley receiving Accreditation with WASC, this gift furthers the mission of Oak Valley to provide students with a high-touch high-quality bachelor’s degree in business and furthers the commitment that Oak Valley has to insure students graduate without student loans.”
